He was graduated in piano performance at the “Benedetto Marcello” Conservatory of Venice, Italy
and in philosophy at the “Ca’ Foscari” University of the same city.

A follower of Bartok’s ethnomusicological researches, he spent several years amongst the gypsy
musicians of Romania, collecting a lot of traditional folk themes, which he loves to re-interpretate in the
concert halls. In September 2008, he recorded the album “Traditional music from Romania” with violin
player Leonardo Jeszensky.

He played in many countries of the world; the most important concerts he held were: in Japan for the
International Aichi Expo 2005 (2 tours), Thailand (Bangkok: Ratchada Auditorium), Turkey (Istanbul:
Nardis Jazz club, Istanbul Jc’s, Galata Dernegy), Italy (Rome: Teatro dell’Opera, Venice: Biennale Musica,
Udine: Castle), Sweden (Stockhom: Berwaldhallen, Italian Cultural Institute), Germany (Munich, Stuttgart,
Gelsenkirchen, Duisburg, Wolfsburg, Kassel, Fuerth), Austria (Wien: Klezmore festival, Romanian Cultural
Institute, VotivKirche), Czech Republic (Prague: Reduta Jazz Club, Romanian Embassy, St. Nicolas
Church), Romania (Bucharest: Presidential Palace, Italian Cultural Institute, Art Jazz Club; Cluj Napoca: Art
Museum; Iasi: University Library, Arcus: Szentkereszty Castle).

As a piano teacher and ethnomusicologist, he is often invited to give lectures and masterclasses in
many Institutes & Universities amongst which the University of Udine, Italy; University of Art “George
Enescu” of Iasi, Romania; Italian Institutes (Stockholm, Wolfsburg, Bucharest); Yamaha Ratchadapisek
School, Silpakorn and Assumption University in Bangkok, Thailand.

His main piano technique method is based on Gyorgy Sandor’s one (“On piano motion playing.
Motion, sound and expression”); a great part of the piano masterclass will be focused on the application of
this technique to the pieces prepared by the students.
