TEHRAN, March 16 (MNA) –Tehran Conservatory managers have met in a press conference, provide details
of the agenda.


Behzad Moafi, the head of Tehran Conservatory of Music told  reporters that the Conservatory
was established in 1998 and since then, it had been active propagating music and supporting it
around the country. “Through these activities, we succeeded to sign 12 international deals with
the world’s prestigious conservatories, which I believe, is a great achievement for Iran’s music,”
said  he,  “before  outbreak  of  crisis  in  Ukraine,  we  participated  in  an  international  music
conference with 300 other musicians, which  contributed to the  country’s fame,  since we were
ranked among the top ten members of the conference.”

Behzad Maafi, the head of Tehran Conservatory of Music told  reporters that the Conservatory
was established in 1998 and since then, it had been active propagating music and supporting it
around the country. “Through these activities, we succeeded to sign 12 international deals with
the world’s prestigious conservatories, which I believe, is a great achievement for Iran’s music,”
said  he,  “before  outbreak  of  crisis  in  Ukraine,  we  participated  in  an  international  music
conference with 300 other musicians, which  contributed to the  country’s fame,  since we were
ranked among the top ten members of the conference.”
He also provided details of activities of the Conservatory. “Currently we host 1200 students of
music in BA and diploma degrees. So far, more than 4500 students have been graduated, 75
per cent of whom now work as music players, which are a great honor for us,” said Maafi.
He also said that according to the agenda, the Conservatory would open an international office
in Toronto, Canada, and “Iranian student of music would enroll in music courses which has the
Canadian government permission.”
“Our intention is to introduce Iranian music to Canada and we work to bring the Canadians with
all  sub­classes  of  Iranian  music,”  said  he,  providing  the  details  of  the  Conservatory’s  future
agenda. “A joint academic course with honorary diploma with international prestige will be held;
other branches will open in other cities around the country; creating atmosphere quite similar
to  that  governing  the  music  courses  of  leading  countries  in  music,  and  construction  of  new
building for the Conservatory are in the agenda for upcoming year,” he asserted.
Maafi  said  that  the  center  was  totally  privately  managed  and  relied  on  personal  resources,
focused on spread and propagation of  Iranian and world music, and expressed hope that with
the new government, “we see more activity in the field.”
